(no subject)
Today's been a good day.
I leave in 10 days for Colorado. The cabin is all set up (there was some concern about it last week but it seems like everything is fine) and I have my first set of stops set up for the first few days of travel. I also talked to the woman in charge of the river rafting and I'm really, really hoping to hear back from them. They don't hire for another week or so but I'm keeping my fingers crossed for it. Having my nights free and not having to work at another restaurant would be really nice.
Other nice things!
- I went through all my books and movies. Yay progress! My father is leaving before me but he is going to take some of the stuff I won't need with him. Half of my books I'm leaving here; the ones I haven't read in a very long time but still enjoy.
- The Publix down the street from me has boxes I can use. I have to be there early in the morning to get them but its a relief considering its literally about five minutes from my house. More progress!
- I managed to get this guy today for my hunter in World of Warcraft. I named him Julius. Braindamage was also a viable choice. Anyway it took about 30minutes for me to figure out the right strat to use. When I did it took literally one try. I then immediately went off and tamed Princess the boar in Elwynn Forest maintaining the bow she wears. There's a flaming boar I want too but I either have to be horde or have a horde do a quest for me in order to get it.
- I've been playing Sims 3 on and off lately. Mostly I've been trying out different challenges (which can be found here: http://www.modthesims.info/forumdisplay.php?f=564) to make the game play more interesting. I did the teen asylum challenge (no teens hooked up, I only had one fight, only four of them got arrested, and all but two of them got A's and B's in school) then I tried the bachelor challenge, which I failed when it came down to the last two women. I liked both of them and they were dead even in love with the bachelor so I decided to try something else. I killed the bachelor, brought him back as a ghost, and tried for a ghost baby with the two women. Was not successful.
Anyway I'm now trying out the ill properly named Family Man Challenge. Which basically consists of making a male Sim then trying to have as many children with as many women as possible before dying. Going to make a post about that later to document my progress.
- While playing Sims 3 I've really been wanting to try out a tribal challenge. I downloaded a map but it didn't seem to work when suddenly today it showed up and I was able to properly download it. I know, sounds lame, but I was really excited about this to suddenly appear.
