I always hate to feel like the judgemental asshole when I read someone's fic and it's one of *those*. Bad grammar (and I'm cool with international writers not having perfect English, I'm not a freakin' language nazi), no plotline, OOC characters so far removed from anything even remotely resembling in-universe reality, and what amounts to sheer idiocy leading to some physical contact between characters. Or confessions of love...or both. Argh. Then they almost always say "Review!" Um, no, you really don't want me to do that.

Unfortunately, my OTP (Ulquiorra x Orihime from Bleach) includes one of the more difficult charaters to write well and keep IC...so I've read a lot of those kinds of fics. I was driven mildly batty recently reading what was otherwise kind of a cute fic when in the midst of battle, the characters run off to a special secret magic hidden room to f***. And then return all post-coital bliss and the relatively shy, definitely modest female cops to it. Um, no, they would so not do that.

And what's really, really sad is that I have a large dose of the "cognitive dysfunction" due to late stage illness, so sometimes I find myself sitting here saying, "Did I miss something? Is it just me, or does this just make no f***ing sense?"

I am not saying anything so genius here, but when I read your term "Pit of Voles"...how could I not comment?!? LOL...never heard that one before!
