Some people I have thought about. List may be edited as time goes on and as names come up.
Ripple?-A young sorcerer or wizard who, for unknown reasons perhaps relating to some dealings from his parents, whenever he casts a spell, the same spell is cast somewhere else (or by someone else?) with some form of adverse affects? He is not yet aware of this affect of his magic and is generally a quiet unassuming type. (Expert/Sorcerer)
Trader-He has been making his living by trucking goods around, but is getting tired of all the travel and hardships when he is not getting much reward. Looking for a new lifestyle and some excitement.
The Man in the Thunder Struck Tower-On his 16th naming day, the day that he was to become a man, ________ walked into the ancient tower outside of his village to spend the night in vigil, like any boy, and hopefully to see a vision of his future. That night a storm swept up out of a clear sky and thunder and lightning spilled from the sky. But only over the tower, which, struck repeatedly, burst into flames. The next morning, the villagers, who had spent the night huddled inside their homes, raced to the tower, where just now the fires were beginning to go out. To their astonishment, out of the rubble and ashes walked the boy, now a man. He ignored all cries and shouts, went to the village chief's house, took the ancient sword that hung on the wall, and left town, never to return. (Fighter/Spontaneous Caster Druid(Website)
Early in his quest he had some high ideals about justice and sought to enforce them. While doing so, the sword was stolen from him. That and several other hard knocks have hardened hm. He wants the sword back.
