These have been a particularly eventful few days. Trust America to make us more exciting. Hilda was in quite a mood when we landed, and I mean that in the best of ways. I've never seen her so playful or...I know this is the wrong word, fluffy. She was joking around, cuddling. If I knew that international flights had that effect, I'd have gotten her on one much sooner.
I told her that I loved her. I was actually a bit surprised when she said that she reciprocates. It wasn't something that I expected.
And somehow, the next day, we wound up having dinner with the Manhattan District Attorney. I'm still not sure what the connect is. Something about her being Hilda's guardian's brother's former fiancee, and her partner works at CP&S here. It was surprisingly confusing. I was certain that things like that only happened in this country's southern extremities.
Hilda had breakfast with Jonas (the guardian's brother) and somehow, I ended up eating lunch with him. I've never met anyone who so perfectly belongs in an Oscar Wilde play. He's decided that Hilda being in New York is the perfect excuse to throw a party. I...have no idea. I'm going to stop babbling now, before I start to turn into him.
