news from around university communities today includes the results of the 4th annual "Dance Your PhD Dissertation" contest. Appearently the American Assoc. for the Advancement of Science sponsers this yearly opportunity for graduate students, post-docs, and faculty to use dance as "an effective medium to convey science concepts." the results are entertaining:

all this reminds me of a most hilarious film i watch in college Genetics. done in 1971 in joint effort between some crazy hippies and seriously nerdy biochemists, the film depicts the translation of genetic material into protien within a cell. it's freaking hilarious if you're a science nerd.
