Very interesting look at Backseat's history and development in politics, with a cast of very familiar characters. It's almost as if, but for the Carter and Clinton years, there has been a single administration running the show since about 1968. And, assuming the reporting is accurate, the Presidents of those administrations were little more than obstacles to Rumsfeld & Cheney's machinations. W is many things, but an obstacle to those two is not one of them.
(This is the first in what is likely to be a series of posts that is likely to get me added to whatever program the NSA is running, if not to the terrorist watchlists themselves. Now is perhaps a good time to re-evaluate whether you really want to be known as my friend.)
