So I was a little hung over yesterday. In fact, I didn't really feel right until the evening.
After my last post I biked down to Barnet to investigate a little road I had seen. I got there via the new Barnet Urban Trail, which is all but complete now, it just needs paving.
The little road, which starts across from Texaco Drive, led me up the hill to a utility facility. It was very steep, so basically I pushed my bike straight up a mountain for fifteen minutes with a hangover. But it was absolutely gorgeous forest there. Most of the trees were Western Hemlock, our climactic species, so I wonder if its ever been logged. There was an inviting unmaintained hiking trail at the end of the road, but I couldn't take my bike there. When I got home I checked
BurnabyMap and found that it was the water source for Barnet. The little road didn't even show up on the map.
After that
aloniel and I went out. We got our addresses updated at the DMV and opened long-term savings accounts. Pretty responsible for dazed, hungover people.
