[Turn around and suddenly Geo was missing. This forest was a maze!

And it probably didn’t help that they were both wandering away in different directions. But, he did still have PokeGear with him, as long as Geo did it shouldn‘t be a problem.]

[The bush rustles again, closer, and Eagle lowers his voice to a whisper. ]

I think a Pokemon might be coming. I want to see what kind it is.

[The sounds of a battle do eventually reach Geo’s ears… of course they were bouncing off the trees and vegetation making it difficult to pinpoint an exact location.

It did actually. I wasn’t expecting to run into a Grass type, but…

[Holding up a recently used Pokeball just as the object glows and disappears, heading off to the PC. ]

I will have an interesting new Pokemon to play with when we make it to the next town.

[Assuming they can find the way back out of the woods. ]

Geo, did you pass a large log on your way to… where ever you are now? There seems to be some kind of shrine setup where I am.

[Bakura is a bit too far away for Eagle to hear, however Carrera’s ears perk up and she yips happily in the direction she hears Bakura’s voice coming from before taking off in that direction, leaving Eagle to either follow her or risk her becoming separated from the group too. ]

Hey, Carrera! Don’t run off like that!

[That thing go? The ball was there a minute ago. Geo was unfamiliar with the pokemon box system.]

I don't remember a log, but it doesn't mean it wasn't there.

[The communicator misses picking up Bakura's voice too.. so the subcommander isn't sure why the little pokemon is so excited.]

Maybe she spotted another Pokemon?

[Still running after Carrera who is making a beeline for Bakura… yipping happily all the way. ]

To the PokeBox. If you have too many Pokemon in your party some of them will be automatically stored for you at the Pokemon Center.

[Through a bush and into a small clearing. Carrera ran over to say hello to Bakura with, yes, more happy yipping. ]

Oh, its Bakura!

[Eagle stops to catch his breath. ]

Now… we only need to find… you again.

That's convenient.. in a way. I guess that way you never get bogged down with carrying too many pokemon at once.

[Geo walks on a bit absentmindedly while staring at the pokegear. He didn't really enjoy the idea that they were all lost in a forest full of wild pokemon...]

Bakura? Way to go Carrera. Remind me to fix her a special treat later.

Hey Bakura! Yeah I'm here. I guess we're just lucky the thing still works after Zaz got a hold of it.

[There's some rustling on this side too... which prompts Geo to look up]

[Honestly she wasn’t the only one. Just as long as it wasn’t Eagle doing the cooking… ]

[Rustling? Maybe Geo would be able to catch a new Pokemon too? How exciting really! Eagle tried to remain quiet so as not to distract Geo while he was trying to catch that creature and instead he quietly addressed Bakura. ]

I’m not sure which pathway Geo took, but at least we can still contact him over the PokeGear. I wonder if I shouldn’t send a flying type Pokemon out to search for him.

[Theory being, it would be easier to find him from he air. ]

[Geo doesn't address the comm during the battle but you can still overhear him saying things]

That's it Beretta! It should be weak enough by now.

[After throwing a pokeball.. something doesn't quite go according to plan]

Bulbasaur!

[Beretta attacks again and makes the Pokemon faint. It gets lost in the underbrush and impossible to catch..... Geo thinks it's a mistake.. until he tries for a few more pokemon and each time Beretta gives thema finishing blow before they can be caught. He sighs deeply and turns back to the comm]

[The guys or the Pokemon might have been able to zero in on the sounds to find the guy]
