Hello Livejournal suckers!
Upto this point my life has pretty much been ups and downs and all that kind of stuff and I though about writing something before but it was probably going to be me whining about this or that and not worth putting down in this, the diary of my young womanhood.
But nowadays, lots of things to report. First of all: I graduated from university today! Got my diploma and everything. The ceremony was so so, I think Chi's was better. Sidenote: I went to Chi's graduation ceremony. And they actually had a commencement speaker who wasn't a huge feminist like I was fearing. Actually a very reasonable lady who has inspired me to one day also become a working mother of three, heading up a giant ad company.
I don't miss school at all. How sad. Plus, I didn't care to hang out with any of the people from my graduating class. But hey if that makes me a horrible human being, whatever. I only know the Computer Science people, and most of them are intense tools. Style points: they pronounced my name right when I was walking onto the stage to get my degree.
Also, some weeks ago I saw a t-shirt with "Hugs not Drugs" on it! Of course it was in a girl's clothing store and didn't come in size Enormous, so I coudn't get it. It turned out to be too expensive to give as a gift either. At least at that time, when I was poor.
Speaking of which, I got a job! A real computer science job! At Staples! It was my first choice for place to work, its really awesome. Its at Staples world headquarters in Framingham, MA. That is also the place where I wanted to live. Near enough to Boston to be "alive" and not close enough to be absurd. Also I am hoping to get this really nice apartment in this really nice apartment complex that is walking distance from the place where I will be working. The place has everything: an awesome water view, tennis courts, basketball courts, volleyball, swimming pool, hot tub, huge gym, laundry, bus stop, country club right next door, with huge golf course. Not that they will let me in. But maybe when I am whiter. Decorating the place will be my test in life I think. Its gonna be a total bachelor pad.
On a related note: before I left school I made sure to introduce myself to the Obscure Object of Desire. She is very nice and I asked her out to lunch and she agreed! What an enjoyable person. Also: literally as cute as a button. What a sexy, sexy accent. And just in general. One of those girls where you have to wonder if God made her to prove to himself what kind of awesome stuff he can do. Hyperbole? Maybe. I don't know, I am biased.
Also: got my learner's permit. The only question I got wrong was something to do with child support payments and driving. How are they related? What a Worcester type of question. Argh I hate that city. But yeah, now I am learning to drive. And yeah maybe its shameful that I don't know, but guess what I grew up in D-town, where the rickshaw is king, and any man who drives his own car is nothing but a fool or a ninja of motorsports.
Jarrod got a sweet whip. Its a Saab 9.3 Aero, which is the nicest version of the 9.3. What a lovely car. Definitely the best one I have been in. Cruisin is just a joy. Especially with our new CD's. eg. Non-Stop Hip-Hop which has Kriss Kross, Coolio, Tag Team, Fresh Prince and all the other true genuises of the genre. We named the car Hansel, cause its Swedish and so hot right now.
If you don't know what whip means, then you are obviously not part of
the whip set.
My job starts in July and until then I am living in Pittsfield (voted as one of the "Top 50 Whitest Towns in America") now, in Jarrod's family home. What a sweet deal. We work up at Bucksteep Manor, doing groundskeeper type stuff, which is fun, since I have never really done stuff like that. For example, we just finished building a nice big firepit. Its made of stone, like nice fireplaces. Tomorrow we are sanding floors. I refer to Jarrod's house as Rancho Zoidberg, because I truly am to this house what Zoidberg was to that place. If you don't understand what I mean, move on, you have missed a precious moment. Go watch all of Futurama. Especially "Where the Buggalo Roam."
I am also finally on a diet, so all the signs of the Apocalypse are in place. I won't feel entirely right until I start running and put the final nail in the coffin of my right knee. Oh well, the fucker deserves it! At least this way at some points girls might touch me again and I might not be in two time zones at once.
Shout outs to my posse (which is a good name for Karen, I think) and big ups to all the playaz and not the hataz.
Much love,
Evgeny
