33 degrees and no respite.
So the unreasonable hot weather continues and yet more of my LJ associates' logs I am sure will start flagging this most British of predilections - to complain about the weather. Yes, I am as it were guilty of this crime, so what is the defence? Other than the usual tropes of well it is just damn hot, not normally this hot in the UK you know, why don't we have any bastard A/c in out work places and so on and so on. Me I'm just tired, although last night I quietly collapsed for a rather solid 6 hours of advanced snoring and drooling and feel relatively humane this morning.
Certainly there are few things I can recommend about 5am, the one thing at this moment in our meteorological *blip* is that at least it is relatively cool. Also the resident fleabag has now I think just had enough, he has moved through various stage of irritation, kitten like behaviour, down right stupidity and now just lies around the house listlessly. In his defence he is rather furry, and other than the sound of Kitty Crack ™ being shaken or the freezer door being opened the closest he gets to activity is the occasional stretch and yawn followed by some high end sleeping in the middle of the corridor. This behaviour does of course cause some difficulties at 3am - the interactions between tired walking ape's foot and some part of a well camouflaged cat - leading generally to a surprised yowl from the cat and mild irritation at being clawed, bitten or just plain woken up by the cats' yowling.
