In the UK (finally)

Right, I know there are fics I should have finished, stuff I should have read and a beta I should have been looking for. I've been completely out of the picture for a couple of weeks. Moving to another country does that to you.

I've been in the UK for a week now, and I love it here! It's a bit lonely cause I don't know that many people yet, but the town is great and the uni might be better than my home university. And I get to study things that really interest me! Whole year of English and creative writing! It's nice getting credits for writing obscure stuff and reading science fiction. Well, Shakespeare and other classics too, but I like them as well.

I'm determined to get a certain J2 AU polished and posted before I've studied too much creative writing, because I just know it will seem like crap after I've had a couple of lectures about good writing... It's not Flaubert but it's not that bad either. And I've got some short things to finish (started writing a little companion piece to Everybody Laugh, and I should write a b-day fic for my best friend), and I'm feeling the itch to write some Boondock Saints fic... (yeah, twincest. What's not to like? Spn was by no means the first fandom to make me read/write about brothers.)

Sadly, I won't be doing NaNoWriMo this year. I've got so much reading and writing to do that I don't want a huge distraction like that, and last year it really affected my studies. A big bang on the other hand...
