I don't know "The Watchman" but the Comedian sounds really messed up. That was certainly hardcore and disturbingly hot to read. I hope Dean gives Sam lots of comfort care now to make up for all the torture.

Thank you for reading and commenting :) Watchmen is definetely worth reading/watching! The Comedian is great, and I think this is pretty in character for him.

I was actually concerned that this wasn't hardcore enough, considering the request, but I just had to throw that little bit of comfort there in the end.

I read the graphic novel when it first came out, was happy they finally made a film about it, and the film has become one of my top 10 favs, the only movie in the last 10 years to get into my top 10 LOL. Excellent fic, and you might want to post it over at sn_crossovers.

Thank you! I was pretty impressed by the movie as well. Loved JDM as the Comedian, of course, but Rorschach was my personal favourite. And thanks for the comm tip, I didn't really have much idea where to post something like this.

Also try spn_dark_vault. And I loved Rorschach also, altho I know a lot of my F-List went cause of JDM. I've been telling people to see, but also rec that they read the novel beforehand. I think too many expected some sort of "superhero" film, and that's not what it was all about, and that's why I loved it so much. I look at it more as a good psychological drama, with "superhero" overtones (or undertones, whichever LOL).

You're right, I'd definetely recommend reading the comic book first. My friends have said that the movie works well on its own too, but part of the fun is seeing how things were changed/kept the same (the ending, for example - I liked what they did in the movie).

There's been so much talk about Watchmen that I think it's odd that people are still confused by it... Yes, they have funny costumes, and yes, it can still be serious drama.

This fic was awesome!

Watchmen is an amazing film/graphic novel, and I loved at the end that Ron from Supernatural was in there. I had a super good chuckle there. I love The Comedian and the lines you threw in about the whole joke of the matter. Great job!

I...this...is weirdly amazing. I mean, I have a huge love for the twistedness of The Comedian, but you take him and make him so...mean to poor Sammy! I love it! lol. But now you know we totally need a little h/c sequel, right? XD

I know, I love the Comedian myself, but this wasn't meant to be a character study of him - his only function here is really to be mean to Sammy X)

Sequel... We'll see, I've got a couple of other ideas I'm working on, but Sam definitely deserves some comfort after that.
