Yesterday, I had the best day ever for a work day. Tomorrow is Halloween celebration day, so everyone's dressing up in costume. My office, being a bunch of women, decided to go for a garden theme. We're all going to be assorted colored daisies. So yesterday, for all but an hour and a half, I sat on the floor cutting and pasting construction paper to make our petal head bands. It was soooo much fun and so relaxing. Like I said...best day ever.
This morning, on the other hand, was brimming with more drama. My sister called me, woke me up. She got into a car accident this morning. She had the right-of-way to make a left turn and got hit on her passenger side by an oncoming vehicle. She didn't get hurt or anything (thank goodness!, but I'll bet she'll be sore tomorrow) but the driver didn't stop and took off down the road. There was a lady that got a plate number and called it in but the plate didn't belong on that car, it was for an SUV of some type. So...they probably won't find this hit-and-run driver, which really sucks because my sister found out (this morning) that the vehicle the my mother gave her to drive still isn't insured.
I'm pretty sure the car is totalled...it's a Geo for christ's sake. The whole front end of the car is pushed over and the driver side looks even worse than the side that got hit. It's no good. So I followed her down to her apartment before I went to work this morning.
which really sucks because my sister found out (this morning) that the vehicle the my mother gave her to drive still isn't insured.
That bitch really pisses me off. Why the hell didn't she put insurance on that thing three months ago when Joanie started driving it? She told her that it was insured, that she just didn't get the card for it yet. WTF?!? She lied about it, and lying about not having a vehicle insured is the dumbest thing of which I've ever heard. What if she would have gotten really hurt and had to go to the hospital? My sister's probably already going to get nailed for not having insurance because the police got involved. That's going to cost that poor kid money that she doesn't even have. I guarantee that Linda isn't going to help her pay for it, even though she should because she's the one that told Joanie not to worry about the insurance, that she would take care of it. She pisses me off sooooooo much. I just don't understand how she can be so irresponsible.
And then to add more drama, I found out some more information from my sister that made me seethe. She got a minor alcohol consumption last summer. I guess Linda went to go pick her up at the hotel where she was drinking (which isn't a problem because where Linda fails almost everywhere else in the category of responsibility, she does make sense when it comes to drinking and driving) and while they were getting ready to head for home the cops showed up. Because Linda is Linda, she didn't make it clear to them that she wasn't the one who supplied this liquor for under-aged kids and that she was only there to pick up her daughter..she just left. Now she's being charged and has a lawyer for her case. Guess who is paying for it? Joanie. I think that's the biggest load of bullshit that I've ever heard.
The woman loves to preach how one has to be responsible for their own actions but she doesn't herself. It's just one big game of cat and mouse to see who winds up taking the fall for it. She's taking advantage of her own children! All the time, over and over. She's ruining my family and she's out of control and the extact epitome of irresponsibility. It doesn't matter who she fucks over, as long as she doesn't have to pay for it, because everyone else does. I'm so sick and tired of her bullshit that I'm ready to tell her off.
*deep breath*
I have to get off my soap box and back to work...
sorry about that.
