sweet soy sauce

A perfect culinary storm resulted me in buying and trying this new condiment.  First my friend emailed me about his mother's bami (Filipino stir-fried noodles), then I ran out of hoisin sauce, then I went to the Asian grocery and they were out of hoisin sauce, and the jar of fermented soybean sauce that I bought in lieu of the hoisin turned out to be unsealed.  Lots of this type of thing in the Asian grocery, alas.  Fortunately, I had also bought a nice bottle of Lee Kum Kee Sweet Soy Sauce.  What can I say?  It's thick, sweet, soy-ey, salty, and loaded with MSG.  Um, so good on vegetarian dumplings and stirfried (what else) zucchini and hot peppers.

They say all blogs degenerate into "What I had for dinner tonight," and I have been there a while.....
