Summary: Deliah meets the Winchester brothers, sparks fly, shit happens.
I just recently lost my great grandmother and I haven't been sleeping well. So I decided to put my restlessness in good use. I made a LiveJournal and post this story here. I am also adding my other stories that I have in Mibba.

Deliah looked at her watch for the fifth hundredth time. She sighed and extended her arm with her thumb sticking out, waiting for a car to stop. She’d been at this for hours and her backpack was getting heavy. She just needed a ride to Lost Creek, Colorado, nothing to far, just not walking distance.
She had some cars pass but all had been assholes and sped up instead of slowing down. She had even worn her lime green tank top and beige short shorts to get the attention of men.
Just as she was feeling sorry for herself, a black 1967 Chevy Impala pulled up next to her. She saw two guys in their 20s. But the one that got her attention was the driver. He had short hair styled in a faux hawk, hazel green eyes, and a little fuzz. The passenger had shaggy dark brown hair and blue green eyes.
She walked over to the passenger side window as they rolled it down.
“Need a ride?” The driver asked with a deep voice, smirking with a weird twinkle in his eye. She was a little hesitant towards answering him, as she thought of the possibilities of what could happen. Then she thought of how long she’d been waiting and knew she’d have to wait longer for another generous driver.
“That’d be nice. But I am gonna warn ya. You try and rape me; I’ll kick your ass. Clear?” She warned, grinning.
“Crystal.” The passenger spoke. From up close you could you could see he had a birthmark on his left cheek.
Deliah opened the back seat door and threw her and bag in there, buckling her seat belt.
“So where you headed?” the driver asked.
“Blackwater Ridge.” She answered, staring at the road, bobbing her head to Hot Blooded by Foreigner.
“Us, too. What a coincidence.” The two guys shared a look that kinda freaked her out, but she didn’t let it shake her.
“I’m Deliah by the way,” She smiled, waiting for there names. They didn’t share it.
“I have to call you something. What are your names?” After communicating through looks, they answered.
“I’m Dean.” The driver told her. He looked at her through the rear view mirror.
“Sam,” the passenger turned in his seat and shook her hand.
“Nice to meet you, Dean and Sam. By the way, you to have a nice ride, though I am more of a 1969 Dodge Charger fan.”
“Yeah well a 1967 Chevy Impala is a classic.” Dean argued, sending a playful glare her way.
“Yeah whatever. I’m too tired to argue, I have been walking all day. Do you mind if I take a nap?” She asked, yawning and stretching her arms.
“Please be my guest.” And with that she lies down and shut her eyes, drifting off to a dreamless sleep.
.*.*.*.*.*.
“Dean, should we wake her up?” Deliah heard as she started to open her eyes.
“No need, already up. Are we here already?” She rubbed her eye to get the crust off and then yawned.
“Yeah, we just got here. Um, we are headed to a motel now, you want us to give you a ride there?” Sam asked, scratching the back of his head while his brother looked at him skeptically.
“Uh, sure. Why not? Not like I have a place to stay at.”
“Well, before we go to the motel, we are going to stop at the Visitors Center.”
“Mind if I stay in the car, catch up on my Zs?” She asked stretching her arms.
“We don’t know you, so no.” Dean stopped and got out of the car as she groggily did the same. Only difference was that she was half asleep and walked into a sign. Did I mention she fell on her ass?
“I’m definitely awake now.” She rubbed her forehead and then shook her head.
“You okay?” Sam asked, smiling apologetically.
“Totally.” She smiled back even though she was starting to get a headache.
Standing up and wiping off the dirt, she looked up to see a wooden house surrounded by forest. The cabin even had a chimney. In front of the cabin was a 10ft flag poll with the American flag waving in the breeze.
“I want to thank you guys for giving me a ride,” She huffed when they finally got inside. “I mean I probably would’ve been walking forever if you guys didn’t stop.”
“Again, no problem,” Sam walked over to a model map they had of the canyons.
“So Blackwater Ridge is pretty remote. It’s cut off by these canyons here, rough terrain, dense forest, abandoned silver and gold mines all over the place.” Sam told Dean, leaning against the model.
“Dude check out the size of this freakin bear.” Dean was standing in front of a picture with huge dead bear in front of a small man.
Deliah chuckled and rolled her eyes. “There’s a dozen or more grizzlies in the area.” She pointed out.
“It’s no nature hike that’s for sure.” Sam emphasized.
“You kids aren’t planning on going out near Blackwater Ridge by any chance?” They turned their heads to see who had said that. It was a ranger who came out from the back, holding a coffee mug in his right hand.
“Oh no sir, we’re environmental study majors from UC Boulder, just working on a paper.” Sam explained.
“Recycle man.” Dean pumped his fist.
“Bull,” The ranger claimed moving to his desk as Sam noticeably swallowed. Okay maybe not noticeably, but she noticed. “You’re friends with that Hailey girl right?”
Dean debated weather or not to tell the truth. He decided to lie. “Yes, yes we are, ranger,” He looked at the guy’s nametag. “Wilkinson.”
“Well I will tell you exactly what we told her. Her brother filled out a backcountry permit saying he wouldn’t be back from Blackwater till the 24th, so it’s not exactly a missing persons now is it?” Dean shook his head. “You tell that girl to quit worrying, I’m sure her brothers just fine.”
“We will. Well that Hailey girl’s quit a pistol, huh?” Dean chuckled.
“That is putting it mildly.” The ranger commented.
“Actually you know what would help is if I could show her a copy of that backcountry permit you know, so she could see her brothers return date.” Dean insisted.
.*.*.*.*.*.
“Hey guys, you mind picking me up at the gas station, I am gonna explore the town, maybe even get myself a snack.” Deliah questioned.
“Yeah, we might take a bit though. We have to stop at someone’s house.” They answered.
“Whatever. As long as you come back, I won’t kick your asses. You guys want anything?” Deliah yawned.
“No thank you.” Sam mentioned.
“Yeah, get me some gummy bears.” Dean stated.
“I see who got the manners in your family.” Deliah turned on her heel and walked to the only gas station around, hearing the chuckling of Sam as she left. She felt eyes following her from the woods sending tingles down her back but when she looked, there was nothing there.
“Get a hold on your self Deliah. There is nothing there. What evil thing would walk around in broad day light?” She reassured herself.
But something was still setting her sixth sense haywire. She just ignored it and walked on, pulling the door open and she was greeted with a jingle of a bell.
Walking through the isles, something caught her eye. The brothers she’d met only minutes ago had not left yet, they were arguing near the hood of the car. Seconds later, they got into the car and left.
What could they be arguing about?
.*.*.*.*.*.
“Dude, she is hot.” Dean commented as they saw Deliah leave to explore.
“How could you think of that at a time like this?” Sam sputtered placing his hand on the hood.
“What? I can’t comment on a girl’s hotness?” His brother questioned.
“No you can’t.”
“Whatever.” Dean scoffed, rolling his eyes. “We should talk to this Hailey girl.”
“The coordinates point to Blackwater Ridge so what are we waiting for, let’s just go find dad. I mean why even talk to this girl?” Sam argued, the murder of Jessica fueling his anger.
“I dunno, maybe we should know what we’re walking in to before we actually walk into it.” Dean pointed out, trying to knock some sense into his brother.
“What?” The youngest grunted.
“Since when are you shoot first, ask questions later anyway?” He accused.
“Since now.” Sam opened the passenger side door leaving Dean there looking at his brother strangely.
“Oh really?” Dean shrugged.
.*.*.*.*.*.
Dean knocked on the door and a girl with long dark brown hair, blue eyes and pale skin opened the door.
“You must be Hailey Collins. I’m Dean, this is Sam.” Dean pointed to himself, then his brother. “We’re rangers with the park service. Ranger Wilkinson sent us over, we wanted to ask you some questions about your brother Tommy.” The girl looked a them warily.
“Let me see some ID.” She commanded.
“Here ya go.” Dean pulled out a ID card letting Hailey stare to make sure they were who they said they were. After staring at the card intently and then looking at Dean, she confirmed they were who they said they were.
“Come on in.” She opened the door.
“Thanks.” Dean smirked.
“That yours?” She pointed to the car.
“Yeah.” Dean replied.
“Nice car.” She complimented, leading them to her small dining room.
“So if Tommy’s not due back for a while, how do you know something’s wrong?” Sam expressed.
“He checks in every day by cell. He e-mails photos, stupid little videos…but we haven’t heard anything in over three days now.” Hailey admitted, placing a large white bowl in the middle of the rectangular table.
“Well maybe he can’t get cell reception.” Sam argued.
“He’s got a satellite phone too.” She indicated.
“Could it be he’s just having fun and forgot to check in?” Dean ruled.
“He wouldn’t do that.” Hailey’s little brother snapped.
“Our parents are gone; it’s just my two brothers and me. We all keep pretty close tabs on each other.” She explained.
“Can I see the pictures he sent you?” Sam reasoned.
“Yeah,” She went to her computer and opened up Tommy’s pictures. “That’s Tommy.” She played a video of him.
“Hey Hailey, day six, we’re still out near Blackwater Ridge, we’re fine, keeping safe, so don’t worry, talk to you tomorrow.” The video reassured. Sam frowned at something in the video.
“Well, we’ll find your brother, we’re headin’ out to Blackwater ridge first thing.” Dean told her.
“Then maybe I’ll see you there.” Hailey responded, making Dean and Sam share a look.
“Look. I can’t sit around here anymore, so I hired a guide. I’m heading out in the morning and I’m gonna find Tommy myself.” She objected.
“I think I know how ya feel,” Dean related.
“Hey, you mind forwarding these to me?” Sam pointed to the computer.
“Sure.”
.*.*.*.*.*.
“So what did you guys learn on the disappearance?” Deliah asked, munching on her chips in the back seat of the car.
“What do you mean?” Sam feared, nervously scratching his head.
“Well, there must be a reason you asked for her brother’s backcountry permit, because I doubt you know her. Because Dean, you came from Kansas,” Dean cut her off.
“What does that have to do with anything?”
“I’m not finished yet. The look on your face when the ranger accused you of being with that Hailey girl, it was like you were debating weather to tell a lie or the truth. Plus, you could call it women’s intuition.” She placed a new Bar-B-Q chip in her mouth, crunching it with a smirk on her face.
“Fine, her brother is actually missing. Well, what she believes. She says her brother calls, sends picture, or ‘stupid little videos.’”
“Oh, well what do you think it is?” Deliah stuck her head in between their heads.
“Don’t know, but we are gonna find out.” Dean stated, parking at a bar.
.*.*.*.*.*.
Deliah’s Point of View
So we have been sitting at this bar for half an hour, Dean and Sam explaining to me what they know. I had to go to the bathroom and headed back to the tables. But I heard them saying things.
“But still, this past April two hikers went missing out there, they were never found.” Sam took out a new paper, showing it to Dean.
“Any before that?”
“Yeah In 1982, eight different people all vanished in the same year. Authorities said it was a grizzly attack. And again in 1959 and again before that in 1936. Every 23 years, just like clockwork,” Sam pulled out his computer. “Okay watch this. Here’s a clincher. I downloaded that guy, Tommy’s, video to the laptop. Check this out.”
Sam showed him a clip of something I didn’t get to see from here.
“That’s three frames. That’s a fraction of a second. Whatever that thing is, it can move.” Sam stared at his computer intently before Dean hit him.
“Told ya something weird was going on.” Sam closed his laptop.
“Yeah. I got one more thing. In ‘59 one camper survived this supposed grizzly attack. Just a kid. Barely crawled out of the woods alive.” Sam added.
“Is there a name?” Dean asked.
I decided to play it cool, and pretend I only heard the last part.
“Whose name?” I asked, staring at Dean.
“Uh, nothing. Don’t worry about it.” He replied.
“Okay, here is the deal. I heard everything and I want in.” I put my hands on the table and leaned forward. Their eyes trailed down to my breasts.
“Doll, I don’t think you can handle the danger.” Dean smirked.
“First of all, never call me Doll, unless your cruising for a bruising. Second, there is more to me then you think. And third, I don’t care about the danger.”
He scoffed, while sharing a look with his brother. Just then a man slapped my ass.
“Damn girl, your ass is sweet.” He laughed, slapping my ass again. I turned and immediately he put his hand on my shoulder. So I did the wrist lock technique. Which consists of my hand immediately coming up towards his face, and then landing thumb to thumb on his hand and I rotated over his body. Picture this, his pinkie was towards the ceiling and his arm was slightly bent.
I bent my knees causing his pinkie to go towards his nose, and then he fell down to the ground.
I kneed him right in the face and then flipped him over my body, making him land on the jukebox machine. I walked over to him and stole his hat.
“Bet you won’t be touching my ass any longer, huh? Bastard.” I looked back to the guys as they stared at me with wide eyes and open mouths.
“What? He slapped my ass. Twice! I defended myself.” I crossed my arms over my chest.
“Holy shit, Deliah. You didn’t have to smash his face in. Maybe a good punch would do.” Sam criticized.
“I didn’t smash…” I looked over to the immobile man and shrugged. “So maybe I did. He deserved it.”
I looked over to Dean who was smirking at me.
“Excuse me, ma’am. I am gonna have to ask you to…” The bartender mumbled.
“We were just leaving.” I uttered.
Heading to the car, the guys and I said nothing. It didn’t start until we were in front of a building.
“Okay, Deliah you’re in.”
.*.*.*.*.*.
“Look ranger, I don’t know why you’re askin me about this. It’s public record; I was a kid. My parents got mauled by a…” Mr. Shaw, the survivor, vowed.
“Grizzly? That’s what attacked them?” Sam indicated.
Mr. Shaw just stopped and slowly exhaled the cigarette smoke, nodding.
“The other people that went missing that year…those bear attacks too? What about all the people that went missing this year? Same thing? If we knew what we were dealing with, we might be able to stop it.” Dean negotiated.
“I seriously doubt that. Anyways, I don’t see what difference it would make. You wouldn’t believe me, nobody ever did.” Mr. Shaw sat down on his couch by the window, taking another drag.
“Mr. Shaw, what did you see?” Sam asked, sitting on the couch in front of Mr. Shaw’s.
“Nothing. It moved too fast to see, it hid too well. I heard it though, a roar, like…no man or animal I ever heard.” He said after a few moments of silence.
“It came at night?” Mr. Shaw nodded.
“Got inside your tent?” Sam asked again.
“It got inside our cabin. I was sleepin in front of the fireplace when it came in. It didn’t smash a window or break the door, it unlocked it. Do you know of a bear that could do something like that? I didn’t even wake up till I heard my parents screamin.”
“It killed them?” I asked, trying to think of what type of creature it could be.
“Dragged them off into the night,” Mr. Shaw shook his head. “Why it left me alive…been askin myself that ever since. Did leave me this though.” He opened his shirt and showed us four huge scars that looked like it was made by four huge claws.
“There’s something evil in those woods. It was some sort of a demon.”
.*.*.*.*.*.
“Guys I think I should tell you something.” I decided to tell them the truth, that the things that go bump in the night are real.
“What?” Dean look at me strangely, like he knew what I was gonna say.
“Um, you’re gonna think I’m crazy.” I laughed nervously.
“Try us.” Sam insisted.
“Well, you know what he was talking about in there,” They nodded. “It’s real, there are reasons you fear the dark. Monsters do hide in your closet and things go bump in the night.” I breathed.
“You know this? How?” they asked.
“Story for another time boys.”
“Well, anyways, we know that. We were raised to hunt them, by our dad, John Winchester.”
“John? John is your dad? He was the one who sent me here. For some reason, he knew I knew already. I guess he sent me to look after you two.” I laughed.
“When did he contact you?” Sam asked hurriedly.
“Sam, I think we should focus at the problem at hand like, spirits and demons don’t have to unlock doors. If they want inside they just go through the walls.” I stated.
“So it’s probably something else, something corporeal.” Sam explained.
“Corporeal? Excuse me professor.” Dean replied sarcastically.
“Shut up. So what do you think?” Sam asked me.
“The claws, the speed that it moves, could be a skin walker, maybe a black dog.” I noted.
“Whatever we’re talking about, we’re talking about a creature and it’s corporeal. Which means we can kill it.” He emphasized.
Dean opened his trunk, propped it up with a shotgun, and put some pistols in a beige duffel bag.
“We cannot let that Hailey girl go out there.” I declared, knowing full well she might get herself killed.
“Oh yeah? What are we gonna tell her? That she can’t go into the woods because of a big scary monster?” Dean suggested.
“Yeah.” Apparently, Sam and I had the same idea, I think.
“Her brother’s missing Sam. She’s not just gonna sit this out. Now we go with her, we protect her, and we keep our eyes peeled for our fuzzy predator-friend.” He packed some more pistols in to the duffel.
“Open the car. I think I should hand you some of my shit.” I said opening the car and taking out my backpack and adding some of my guns to his bag.
“Finding dad’s not enough?” Sam argued, slamming the trunk closed. “Now we gotta babysit too?” Dean just stared at Sam as I got into the car.
“What?”
Dean shrugged. “Nothin.’” Throwing the duffel bag at Sam.
.*.*.*.*.*.
We finally reached the motel, and some how I ended up having to get the rooms.
“Just get the rooms.” They pushed me to the counter.
“Hello, I’d like two rooms, please.” I smiled sweetly at the guy, then I crossed my arms over the counter to show off my boobs.
“Um, uh, I’m s-sorry. We only h-have o-one r-room a-a-available.” He stuttered.
“Are you sure?” I looked at him innocently, ranking my nails softly up and down his chest, watching him swallow noticeably.
“Y-y-yes.”
“How much will it total?” I smiled again.
“534.”
“Gosh, I don’t have enough.” I frowned, trying to show my cleavage more.
“Don’t w-worry about it. I-I’ll pay the f-fee.” He smiled.
“Are you sure?” I drew designs on his shirt.
“T-totally.”
“Thank you Bob.” I jumped up and down, clapping trying to sound like a stupid girl.
He shakily gave me the key, and I kissed his cheek. I left, shaking my ass. Poor guy just got used.
“You got the rooms?” Dean shoulders, putting his face near my face, causing me to blush.
I cleared my throat before answering. “Room.”
“What do you mean room?”
“Well, he kinda said they only had one room left.” I tried to cheer things up. “It’s free of charge!”
