It was a nice weekend.

Despite the incredible amount of noise within the Luminaire Sanctuary, I had a fairly good weekend. I spent most of it working on that paper assigned by Professor Miklotov for my Political Science class. The subject is fascinating. Having spent most of my life immersed in military affairs, I had little chance to actually step away from it and look at all its detailed workings from an academic perspective. I can't help but hope I won't have an essay due for it every week, though.

I took a break during the noisest part of the evening to have a cup of tea. The Lady L'Arachel was gracious enough to honour me with her company, and we had a nice conversation. I'm relieved to discover that Cassandra's hyperactivity is not the norm. Sometimes too much energy isn't a good thing. With any luck, we'll be able to meet again in such a fashion within the near future.

I've discovered the joy of practicing my sword in a snowy field. The footing is difficult, mind, but the stillness of the atmosphere lends a sort of depth to the activity.

There you have it, a military man speaking of depth.
