Writer's Block: Top 10
Top 10 Craziest events in my life this year (Amazingly, these are all verifiably true):
10) Traveling in Europe by myself, meeting new friends from all over the world, and touring Amsterdam with them.
9) Writing the cover story for a magazine.
8) Knocking on random people's doors to see if they knew anything about a homicide that occurred in their neighborhood.
7) My ex-boyfriend trying to get back together with me - twice. (Three times if you count once last year).
6) Driving out to Quincy to cover Tropical Storm Fay and spending the night on a cot in an emergency shelter.
5) Seeing a dead body at the scene of an accident for the first time.
4) ) Accidentally driving the wrong way down the road - with traffic coming toward me - and having to drive over the median to get into the correct lanes.
3) Getting locked in the county courthouse after hours and having to call 911 so someone could let me out.
2) Another ex-boyfriend (it sounds like I've had many - actually, there's only two) randomly inviting me to go on a trip to Mexico with him and his family.
1) Being in the same room as a serial killer. (I covered a hearing for Gary Hilton, who's been accused of killing several women, one of whom lived in the next county over from me.)
