Well. The New Year is certainly off to an AMAZING start at work.
In the middle of editing an embroidery file, the digitizing program just stopped working. I closed the program and reopened - and the program wouldn't read the condensed files any longer. It will only read the expanded files, which makes no sense.
(Condensed embroidery files are completely editable, while expanded files are set in stone. If you're familiar with working with layers in Photoshop, you could compare a condensed file to a PSD and an expanded file to JPG.)
What this means is that every design I've done over the last 5 years is not able to be edited unless I want to start from scratch. This is a disaster of immense proportions if it turns out to be permanent. It might not be - the IT guy and I suspect that the key to the program that plugs into the computer's parallel port (yeah, this program is THAT OLD) might be dying. Hopefully the manufacturer can give me a new one (a USB one oh please oh please oh please) and it will solve this mess. Because if we can't solve it, I have a LOT of work ahead of me.
BLARGH.
In other news, I need to not be a lazy bum during evenings this week and fix my damn costumes for ALA. Ouran stuffs fell through so I don't have to worry about remaking that any longer, but I still have quite a bit to accomplish. I was terrible this weekend and didn't do anything cosplay-related. I have to admit it was fun being a complete blob for two days but now I have to reap what I have sown.
ANYWAYS. For those going to ALA, here's my costume list for the weekend:
Friday Early Afternoon: Virgilia
Friday Night: Princess Peach (I can't believe I'm doing this)
Saturday Morning: Maybe Sinbad? If not, Tux all day.
Saturday Afternoon/Evening: Tuxedo Mask
Sunday Morning: Maybe Sinbad? If not, PLAINCLOTHES! :D
Obviously I'm not sure when my Jeanne is coming out to play so that will be decided later.
