[The flower youkai is gardening again. Today's crop? A patch of cute little young Piranha Plants sporadically chomping at the air.

And if you've passed by close enough to see this, Yuuka's attention is now on you.]

You there, excuse me.

-She may not have heard her. She's observing the flowers from a careful distance, having never really been this close before. Of course, she's got a breathing mask on to keep the pollen from killing her-

Maybe not. This one looks a bit deficient.

...That's not a very nice thing to say.

Even digestion takes a certain amount of energy. It's pointless if there's nothing to gain from it.

So you intend to feed passer-by to your new plants? I suppose that's nice. And yes, you wouldn't gain much from using me, I suppose. So I'll just remain here, observing the beauty of these flowers...

I'm glad we see eye to eye.

I've never taken the time to observe them so closely before... pictures in books really don't do them any justice.

These? I'd imagine not.

...Maybe I should allow Koakuma to place some in vases around the library. Then again, they wouldn't get any real sunlight...

If you really want to be helpful, you ought to fetch one of your human friends.

-She flinches just slightly-

I don't have any of those.

Hirelings, then.

Koakuma is more useful as my familiar than as your plant food.

Maybe we could hire a plumber. Does your maid do that kind of work?

The cat is better suited to cat like things, I think. But then again, I do not pay that much attention to what she does outside of her serving me on the occasion. She is a dutiful sort... but I also think Mistress Scarlet would be rather cross should she be used for any unapproved activity.

Even observing the beauty of nature takes a few sacrifices.
