I haven't looked at lj for like a month. I guess I was distracted by ... something. Probably working.
HAPPY NEW YEAR AND MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!
New Year's was uneventful.
I got a computer tablet I should practice with more, money I'll probably just spend on bills and various other things. Our Christmas tree is drying up and needs to be tossed. This was the first one I've bothered to have on my own, so maybe I should preserve it!
It's snowed a lot over the past month or so. Snow is lame. It needs to go away. It is kind of pretty, but it's a pain in the butt to drive in.
We saw Sweeney Todd awhile back. It's a pretty cool movie. I like how the trailers don't make mention of it being a musical. A lot of people probably show up expecting a regular slasher flick and are all WTF! The day we went the theater was sold out, so I guess it's pretty popular. The songs aren't bad and actually work well with the bloody/dark humor.
I've been playing a bunch of games I received for my birthday. I never finished Persona 3. I was on the last "dungeon". Out of the new games, I played about 3/4 of Tales of Symphonia. I like the combat system, but the story line is so ridiculous and full of holes, it wasn't enough to keep me playing. So, I started playing Fire Emblem, which isn't incredibly interesting (I'm not a tactics fan anyway), but it is more so than Tales and at least has decent translation. I played about 15 minutes of Baiten Kaitos and was annoyed by how awkward the card-based battle system was, so I stopped playing that. I also tried Star Ocean Till the End of Time, but also was annoyed by the crappy graphics and stopped.
Also: The make a Mii channel is pretty cool.
