Fanlisting Cleanup

Apr 13, 2010 05:10

Due to several years worth of neglect, the joined fanlistings page on GENROU was nearly all dead links. Okay, well, maybe just half. I spent the last hour or so going through them all, updating links and getting rid of any that were just broken. Also took the opportunity to get rid of any fanlistings that I'm not really a fan of anymore.

I'm currently working on re-writing the content for my Xelloss fansite, MYSTERIOUS WAYS. A lot of it has information from the novels and from the anime all mixed up together, and I don't like that. I'm noticing a lot of this on quite a few of my sites so I'd like to take the time to properly update them all. The Xelloss one is likely the worst and is also the easiest for me to clean up. Will I update the layout? Very likely. While I like the current layout quite a bit, the quality of the graphics is a bit lacking and the code is all out of date. We'll see what I can conjure up.

Now that the story for Fruits Basket has finished (quite some time ago, I might add), I feel as if I can finally go back to my Sohma Kyo site, BAROQUE ORANGE and update it. When I originally created the site, Fruits Basket was nowhere near finished. The information is so incredibly out of date because I found it was too much of a bother to try and update everything as each chapter was released. Now that it's finished, I can look back at the whole story, read it from start to finish, and create complete content.

The same applies to my Kikyou and Miroku fansites, REPOSE ETERNAL and VOID OF RESTRAINT, now that Inuyasha has completed its run. In the case of Kikyou, much of the content actually does exist but because the site came out at such a time that I was finding I had to change it on a weekly basis, I was never quite satisfied enough with it to put it on the site. The Kikyou site will likely not receive a new layout as I'm currently rather happy with it. The Miroku one definitely will get a facelift.
