I have an
infrequently used twitter account, and several times a week, I get notices from twitter that some author or other has begun following me. Inevitably, after a few days, these people stop following me, and I've pretty much narrowed this down to one of three reasons:
1- They're annoyed I don't autofollow everyone.
2- It takes them that long to realize I do more reading than tweeting.
3- When I do write something on twitter, the things I do say are mostly about cats, children waking me up at 2am, and (this month only) dalek Halloween costumes. There's not much about books on there, because I have all of you to talk book stuff with.
4- There's some sort of giant conspiracy I haven't even identified yet. This seems the most likely explanation, because by unfollowing me, they run the risk of missing it when I do say something incredibly witty and/or insightful? (Disclaimer: to my knowledge, that has never happened and will likely never happen. Still, there's a chance, right?)
Ahem. Well, after that bit of randomness... please do join me for our Friday Night Movie. The kids informed us this year they want to be daleks, so since we're only a few days away from Halloween, I figured this would be appropriate to share with you all. After the husband and I spent the past few weeks trying to figure out how to put together functional dalek costumes, we could probably stand to have a bit of tension be exterminated.
