I started this one and was enjoying it, but got distracted so I haven't finished it yet. Maybe it's time to get back to it...

Also, regarding the cover -- I felt like it was a pretty good indication of their personalities. Eliza's very In Your Face, while Wellington is more the quiet background type by nature (but, yeah. She could be wearing more clothes, please! Maybe the trousers I seem to recall her wearing at some point?)

Have you read any of Ballantine's other series, starting with GEIST? I've got the sequel on hand despite having issues with the first book, but it's one of the reasons I've shied away from THIS title...
