To Light, or Not To Light?

Barnes & Noble just announced a new version of the Nook, with GlowLight. The claim is that "this revolutionary built-in reading light delivers optimized illumination never before seen on E Ink displays." Which might well be true, but it hurts my eyes even to think of reading on a backlit screen. I know a lot of people like to read in the dark or semi-dark, but I'd much rather use a flashlight or booklight because then at least I'm not staring directly at the source of the light. Then again, light and I don't always get along very well, and I'm prone to headaches while other people do not have this issue.

So what say you? Yes to backlit screens, or do you prefer to provide your own light source? Does the idea of a lighted e-ink reader make you cheer, or will you be skipping right over that one?
