Hey, everybody, I'm back!
Let's resume the insanity, shall we? We can start by picking up all the lovely bits of book news I missed over the past week:
Publisher's Weekly is changing their review section to
review by genre, which is obviously helpful to those of us geeks who prefer genre fiction. Jane of Dear Author
interviewed Rose Fox, the PW's resident romance editor about the details.
The YA enthusiasts among us might be interested in
Laura Miller's article comparing Bella of Twilight and Katniss of The Hunger Games, where she reaches some surprising conclusions.
Upstart Crow talks a little about
the differences between a virtual TBR and an actual stack of books sitting next to you and how the stack of books are more likely to remind you to, y'know, read them.
And finally,
the nominees are in for the 2009 World Fantasy Awards. The winners will be announced and awards presented at the World Fantasy Convention in Columbus, Ohio, the last weekend in October.
