Daily Polls
blue and I have been kind of lagging on this so far, but we've now decided that the daily polls will each run for one full day. At the time a new poll and challenge are posted, the previous day's poll will be closed. LiveJournal does not allow locking of polls, so we'll have to settle for friend-locking the closed poll and marking them "Closed" at the bottom of the post. That way at least guest visitors will be prevented from voting in closed polls. If you see a poll entry that's friend-locked and marked Closed, please don't cast any new votes or change your existing vote.
I've gone back and "closed" all the old polls I have control over and marked their winners, but blue will have to edit the ones she's posted herself. Until then, please steer clear of all poll entries except the most recent one - and the one I'm about to mention.
There is one lingering tie; the poll for best drabble of 04/06/06. If you could all check that entry and make sure you've cast a vote in that poll, that would be great. The poll entry is located here and the drabbles for that day are located here. If you haven't voted in this poll please do so ASAP.
From now on blue and I will be refraining from voting in any of the polls we post, unless there's a tie, in which case we will be the tiebreaker.
For extra fun, here's the list of those who have won the daily polls so far, so we can all catch up! After this, a full list of the daily winners will probably be posted at the end of each month and the entry will be added to the comm's Memories at that time. We won't need running lists because you'll be able to look at the previous day's poll once it is closed to see the winner.
