I believe I mentioned that I was attempting to train my kitteh to use the toilet rather than the litter box. In my estimation, my cat is a genius (and pretty too).
The normal process that I've read online has a lot of steps, to gradually ease the cat into getting used to being on the toilet. Put the litter in the bathroom. Put a box under the litter so the cat gets used to stepping up into the litter. Put another box under the litter so the cat gets used to jumping into the litter. Put the litter on top of the toilet seat so the cat gets used the location.
Yeah, well, way too many steps. Yesterday I moved the box from the kitchen/living room area to the bathroom. Today, in preperation for taking a shower, I moved the litter to on top of the toilet (my bathroom is extremely small). While I was in the shower, Pixel walked into the bathroom, looked around, saw the box on top of the toilet. She jumped up into it like it was the most natural thing in the world, then dropped a deuce.
I'm very proud that she figured out where it's located so quickly.
On the other hand, I'd like to mention that having that cat drop a load while in a confined area is probably as close to a biological weapon as I'll ever experience. Words cannot express the volume and strength of stench that is produced by that cat's posterior.
