Introduction
Hey everyone, my name is Genoush Tunian. I am 19 years old, and I am a student at Glendale Community College. I live with both my mother and father, which are Rima and Hairapet. I also live with my two older brothers, which are Gevork and Harout, and I have a dog named Lucky. I was born in Germany, and I’ve been living in California for 18 ½ years. I speak English and Armenian, as my main two languages. I also took four years of Spanish in high school, and I learned a little Persian from my parents. I recently graduated from Glendale High School in June 2004. I attend Glendale Community College, so hopefully I can transfer to a UC college, preferably UCLA. I’m still a little undecided of my major, but I’m heading towards becoming a registered nurse. I want to be enrolled in the GCC nursing program for a while, and then transfer. I’m looking forward to learning new things in this class, but I hope it won’t be difficult.
If I had to describe myself, I would probably say I’m a nice, adventurous person that likes to learn new things, and just have a good time. I like to do many things. I like to go to church, play the piano, cook, sing, listen to music, play with my dog, drive, go on vacation trips, and obviously go out with my friends. My parents and I attend the Holy Trinity Armenian Church every Sunday and Wednesday. We are all Christians and baptized with the Holy Spirit, including my oldest brother, Gevork. I really enjoy going to church, because I learn something new from the Bible and I also teach Sunday school. Moreover, all my close friends go to the same church, so we always do something after church which is fun. I am very serious and strict when it comes to religion, because I try to live my life the best way I can according to God’s Word, the Bible. I’ve been playing the piano for a couple of years now, and I play classical and religious music. I don’t have a good voice but I do love to sing, because I’ve been in the school choir ever since 3rd grade. I was in the Glendale High School A Cappella Choir in 10th, 11th, and 12th grades, and it was really fun because every year we had a tour during spring break. In 2002 we went to Las Vegas, 2003 we went on a cruise to Mexico, and last year we went to Hawaii. I love to listen to music, because that’s what I do most of the day. I like to listen to almost every type of music. My dog’s name is Lucky, and she’s a Chihuahua/Terrier. I really do like playing with her and taking her for walks. I do like going out with my friends and having a good time. I like to drive, because I just love to drive fast. Usually when I go out with my friends, I’m always the one that ends up driving, because I love to drive, and they always have a blast when I’m the driver . I do admit that I drive like a maniac.
