I'm so shitty at this journalling thing lately! Shitty shitty shit shit!!!
Well anyways I finally moved out of Alexandria, I live in the fargo/moorhead area, and although my first impression was that it's just a giant-sized cheyenne, I'm realizing there's a lot more to do here than just going to the mall or getting high. I've already met a lot of people, there are some familiar faces in 2 of my classes, and I already went out for sushi with one of my classmates. She's apart of a club at the other college in town, dealing with fighting with foam weapons and creating costumes/outfits for the fights. Alyssa, I think this is something you'd be really into, I just can't remember the name of the club right now, it starts with a "G" though, hah.
so classes...Video production looks like it's going to be a lot of fun, although we're doing a lot of reading for the first few months before we really get into the camera work. Film Appreciation looks like it'll be fun, but I think the instructor is one that I'll have to do everything to please, he seems a little controlling on how he wants everything done, but...I can't complain too much when each Thursday we get to watch lots of movies. My Science of Cooking class would be funner if there weren't 100+ people in it, biggest class I've ever been in. It's in one of those lecture auditoriums, and I guess I have to give that teacher credit although I think he was annoying, because he kept throwing the f-bomb and other cussing, probably to make the time go by faster and to make the freshmen feel more at ease in this giant room. I don't have much of a thought on my Ethics in the Info Age class because our first meeting was today and it only lasted 20 minutes...I suppose I'm happy the teacher didn't spend the entire 2 hours explaining the syllabus like everyone else!
I'm suprised at how cheap all my books were this semester, all of them for under 200$ which left me suprised.
My roomie is pretty cool, although he's a little messy I don't care too much, because I thoughtlessly start organizing or cleaning the kitchen every day...it's been programmed into me at this point. He has an awesome cat that's playful, the house is nearby a chinese buffet, a village inn, quiznos, qdoba, a bunch of bars and whatever else a city has. I'm pretty happy with this situation.
I sort of can't believe I'm finally doing this. I'm living my 'dream' of pursuing a degree, I'm not falling into massive debt, I'm fucking OUT of alexandria...life is enjoyable. What else can I say...? I had more raw fish today in the form of an ahi coleslaw sandwich.
