Mom's birthday cake
So today's mom's birthday and for a present, I volunteered to bake the cakes. It was decided that I'd make apple pie and a sachertorte.
What's a sachertorte, you ask? It's THIS baby:
It's a cake with chocolate and grinded hazelnut, with a layer of apricot jam in the middle. The entire cake is then glazed with a big helping of chocolate frosting. And as a little touch, I added chocolate decorations on top.
It's almost too cute to eat ;_;
And I think I've had my fill of chocolate for the next few weeks @_@
