Mom had a very infortunate mishap the other day at the hospital.
She's had surgery for her hernia and that is now healing up fine and dandy, but she was also scheduled for eye surgery because she has cataract is both eyes that can be helped by replacing her lenses. She had her one eye done and needs to come back for her other some other time.
Turns out they made a bit of a mistake with the paperwork and gave her the wrong lens *faceslap*
It's nothing serious, though. She can see perfectly with it, but they promised they'd give her a lens that would not only solve her cataract problem but also correct her poor eyesight so she wouldn't need glasses anymore. But they gave her a lens simular to the one she had. So her poor eyesight still remains as it is.
The eyedoctor who operated on mom apologized profusely and offered to give her a re-correction to replace the lens AGAIN, but since that carried too many risks of side-effects and complications, mom declined. She is, however, extremely disappointed. And who can blame her?
Pffffft, poor mom... :(
