Well, that wasn't supposed to happen...
I think some kind of benevolent god is watching over me, because something happened today that I totally did NOT expect.
After I made my resit test of Science Philosophy, I went to the student lounge to pick up my grade for Chinese Literature. Remember, that mean test that asked for exact birthdates and Chinese to Dutch translations? Well, turns out I PASSED it. I fucking PASSED IT!!!! Right there on the paper was a 6/10 smack dab in the middle. I must have stared at it for five minutes, checking if it really was my test and investigating whether or not my glasses were dirty or I had misread the numbers. But no, I got a 6! <3 The teacher's commentary stated that my essay questions were answered perfectly, but my factual questions needed some work. So I deduced that my essays were written so well, they added up to make a sufficient grade. My classmate (and only other Japanologist in this course) also passed with the same grade. Reason enough for a high five and victory dance XD That sure brightened up my day.
The Philosophy test went okay. At least I studied harder than the previous one and in this one, I had the feeling I actually knew what I was dealing with most of the time. Still, some questions needed guessing, but I just hope I passed it so that I don't have to redo this course next year.
So so far, I only have a resit for Conversation class. That sure helps lower my stress level. Right now, I got ONE more paper to write. Netsuke and the Chinese animal zodiac -w- Why am I tempted to read Fruits Basket? :B
The weather's being pretty funny today. Rain, sun, rain, sun, rain, sun all the time. Right now: sun. Guess it's being just as funky as me. Yesterday evening, the Russians invaded. And you know what that means, boys and girls? Emo rollercoaster rides. Last night, I felt inexplicably melancholic and just wanted to cry. Until I figured out that it is that time of the month again, so I was probably crying about nothing. Will be over by the end of this week most likely :3 Just need to keep my happy up!
Speaking of happy. I downloaded the Japanese version of SMRPG for my SNES emulator (thanks to a tip from someone on DA). Yay, now I can utilize my knowledge of Japanese on a game that I am rearing to replay after quite some time XD
Also, I am currently trying to make an appointment with my buddy Bart. Gonna try and see if we can go see Terminator Salvation sometime soon XD He got accepted into the master course he wanted, and I am close to ending this year with all my courses passed, so we both have a reason to celebrate :3
