Ok, so just doing a little boredom surfing through Youtube and I come across these shocking videos that girls are making for the "anas" and "mias" of the world. I understand that "thin is always in"...but to what extent? These girls are trying to convey the message that Bulimia and Anorexia are serious diseases that demand serious attention. Tell me now, what part of glamorizing starving teenagers and sickly celebrities sends the message that "we're sick, and we need help"? Sure, we healthy people understand that you have an issue, but purging yourself and glorifying it for other "skinny girls" to gain inspiration to stay thin isn't helping your cause any. Sure, you've raised my awareness to this issue, and maybe I do feel sorry for you. But I will not give you my sympathy. How can you be helped when you don't want to help yourself? Seriously! "Only 15 more pounds to go" when you're already 5'9 and 110lbs?? At what point are you at your ideal weight? How far do you have to go? Not much further and your bones become brittle, your organs deteriorate, your hair thins to nothing, and your teeth rot away from the constant upheaval of stomach bile. How can this not be glamorous and sexy? Go eat a box of kleenex and enjoy your size 6X. I'll love every second of my pop tart and the way my ass fits into my Seven jeans.
