This is something that's always going to be a problem for me. My back got fucked up about three years ago. It put me out for almost a full month. Shortly fallowing the original accident, I began to experience chronic problems. But back injuries are always a really unspecific devil. Without surgery, all i can do is improve the strength around the damaged area and try to heal slowly over the year. Unfortunately being a wage slave with no medical insurance, there is little I can do to assure my back gets the care it needs. So this ridiculous cycle continues, in and out of work at least once a year every year since the injury. I don't get payed to be out of work. Comp only covers days missed after 60 hours is missed. Being a part time worker I can't even accumulate that in two weeks of work and I can't go two weeks without pay. Though comp is nice enough to cover meds, physical therapy is up to me. Thankfully I know a thing or two about exercising back strength.
Hell... with any luck I'll be in school full time again soon and living off my loans.
