yay color!!
the painting has begun. dum dum duuuuuuuuuuuuuuum(that's a very dramatic noise for those of you that don't know)
last nite we put up all the orange base in the dining room, and i must say, orange dining rooms ROCK!! tonight we will put the dark orange stripes on. everyone say a prayer that it all turns out, cause i'm really afraid that it will turn out wrong wrong wrong. but i think as long as we take our time and measure measure measure it will be all good.
we also(we being me jenna and suzanne) started the kitchen. half of it is this great medium lavendar/purple, and the other half is a light purple. one of the walls that is light purple is going to get some more work done on it tonight as well---we're taking a deep purple and painting squares to create a checkerboard pattern. i know, i'm totally overdoing it.....but i think it will be fun, and since i have free rein to paint as i wish, i'm takin full advantage of it.
what's left, you ask? the living room is going to be half cherry(like the bottom half of the wall) and the top half is stawberry rhubarb. we're going to try to do this really creative merge of the colors instead of just a line where they meet, and i figure if that looks crappy then i'll just buy a wallpaper border and no one will be the wiser..... also left is the bedroom which is "warm brownie". seriously, you open the can and it looks like it's full of melted chocolate. it's the yummiest color ever!! i was planning this big elaborate thing in the bedroom, with squares of other browns, but i'm thinking it may end up being all warm brownie. then suzanne gave me a can of silver(!!!!) that i'm going to use in the bathroom(don't worry, it's very sheer) and then a mint that i may or maynot use in the hallway.
can you tell how much i detest standard apartment beige walls?????
so obviously work is the LAST place i want to be today, and yet here i am, for 9 fun filled hours. then again tomorrow working for nicole! yay! actually, i'm looking forward to tomorrow because it's football all day which means i get to just hang out and watch big men in tight pants.*grin*
oh, as a reward for those who suffered thru this long and boring post, we're going to sweetwater on monday---if you're free and wanna join that would rock!!! train leaves my place at 4:30p, email me if you're interested---gennyveeve@aol.com(and put something in the title so i know you aren't trying to sell me porn or penis enlargers because, frankly, i have evough of both! *GRIN*) it only lasts until about 7p, but it's a kick ass time with totally rockin beer. mmmmmmmbeer.
so that's all FOR NOW, but considering how wretchedly bored i am and i still have 7.5 hours to go, it's a safe bet i may post again.
