It has been a very, very long day for Taeyeon. She can barely keep her eyes open as she walks through the halls of the building they had to film Twinkle's music video in. "Thanks for your hard work," She smiles with a bow, passing by a few staff members who were going back to the set for clean-up.
They quickly return the gesture, wanting to go home too.
"Taeyeon-ah," her manager clears his throat, sighing as he scratches the back of his head with a lightly distressed expression on his face that Taeyeon doesn't see because she's too tired to look up at him.
Instead, she just answers with a soft, "Hmm?"
"He's here," he says in a softer tone as if the walls had ears or there were spies following them.
Taeyeon blinks, "He's here?" she turns her head up to her manager with another blink.
"Mhm," he sighs again, deeper this time.
He knows the drill. When he's here, he's top priority to Taeyeon. He has even gotten higher after the split of companies. They can only meet every now and then. Not all the managers approve of it, but this manager knows the affect he has on Taeyeon. He's her happiness and without him, she's not the same. Even just a little bit of him would do.
Manager Oppa fishes out the key to the soshi's dorm, "Just be back early morning tomorrow alright?" He gives it to Taeyeon and sees the corners of her lips curving up as she receives the piece of metal.
"Yes, Manager Oppa," She nods obediently, a full smile displays on her face. He could already see the effect taking place. It amazes him sometimes, how Taeyeon regains all her energy because of him.
He watches her bow, enter the elevator, and wave to him as the heavy metal doors close. He smiles back softly, nodding once. When the doors shut, Manager Oppa's smile fades. He wonders what would happen if her heart bursts because of her happiness.
--
Taeyeon smiles widely, even biting her lower lip, preventing herself from smiling any further. She sighs to herself, eyes stuck on the electronic marquee displaying the current floor the elevator's on. She's still got a few more floors to go.
She pouts, puffing her cheeks as she taps her heels, glancing down at herself and looks to the left. She sees her reflection against the mirrored elevator walls: she's still dressed in her costume and make-up, only minus the crazy bright orange wig and a big which was replaced with a dark, thick winter coat that helps tone down her outfit. Wrinkling her nose at her reflection, she makes sure it's herself. She leans a little closer and recognizes herself.
Taeyeon blinks, tilting her head, watching herself with slight amusement. She couldn't recognize herself for a second; she forgot she dyed her hair blond.
She lets out a snort and a small laugh before the sound of the elevator reaching the lobby and its doors opening catches her attention.
The petite woman turns around fully, tucking her bag over her right shoulder securely before getting out of the lift. She glances left and right, noticing that the lobby's vacant except for the body guard and the receptionist behind the front desk. Even the dedicated soshi fans have gone home.
"Hmm..." Taeyeon pouts, eyebrows scrunching together as she looks around again. Maybe she's missed him the first time. She squints her eyes and looks through the glass walls to the outside, spotting a male in a very questionable choice of clothing, swaying to himself with his hoodie up, his face covered with dark shades. She blinks, raising an eyebrow when she notices the white earphones coming from his hoodie. She takes a few more steps and sees a few blond hairs sticking out from the hoodie.
When she sees his lips mouthing words, as if singing along to a song he's listening to and nodding his head to the beat, she knows it's gotta be him.
She giggles to herself softly as she hurries outside, hissing inward the moment her body comes in contact with the harsh, cold weather. "Ah...cold, cold," she whispers to herself, her own arms wrapping around herself.
The man in the questionable pairing of clothes looks up and smiles, taking a few steps toward her.
Taeyeon blinks, frowning slightly when she notices so many things are different.
"My, my, my," he chuckles huskily, more husky than usual, which makes her frown even more. "What a pretty lady," he approaches her closer, only three steps away from her now.
"You...who are you?" Taeyeon crosses her arms, an eyebrow cocking upward.
"Me?" The man points to himself, smirking as he takes two steps, "I'm...Death, my pretty...very twinkly lady."
Taeyeon scoffs, eying his painted nails with black, "You do look pretty dead." She's not liking this one bit.
"I've come to take you away tonight," he says, offering his hand.
She stares at his hand, noting how skinny they look. Sighing, Taeyeon looks up at his face, "Is it my time?"
The man nods.
"How do I know you're really Death though? You could be some impostor for all I know," She shrugs.
Death seems to be affected and pouts.
"Take off the sunglasses," she orders him, "It's night time and you're not a vampire."
Death chuckles softly and slowly takes his dark shades off.
Slowly, Death disappears and appears Junsu, a very tired looking Junsu.
He grins brightly, a contrast from his dark clothes, "Long time no see," he says in his best English.
It makes Taeyeon get rid of her pout and laugh, "Aiiiish," it returns though, she's still somewhat disappointed and concerned. "Yah," she stares up at him, tilting her head, "Is that really you?" she asks, taking the last step and touches his face.
"Yeah," Junsu smiles softly in Taeyeon's hands.
She sighs, "You've gotten so skinny," her thumbs gently stroke his cheeks. The small gesture warms Junsu up. He's been waiting outside for a while.
"It's temporary, for the musical," he shrugs it off easily.
Taeyeon pouts, shaking her head, "Too skinny!" She pinches his cheek. He winces slightly.
"I like the white hair and the nails but oppa's too skinny. You look skinner than me!" Taeyeon voices out her opinions, "Do you still have your perky butt?!" She widens her eyes.
Junsu laughs before pulling her into a hug, "Aish, don't worry so much," he says softly against her ear, guiding her arms to wrap around his waist and her hands to land on his butt to answer her question.
She sighs in relief, nodding against his chest, "Still," she looks up at him, her chin resting on Junsu's upper chest. "I don't like you being so skinny, Junsu oppa," she frowns, her eyebrows scrunching together worriedly.
"Stop worrying," Junsu whines, pecking her lips softly, smoothing out her eyebrows a little.
"I can't, I'm your girlfriend. I'm suppose to worry. I saw pictures but I didn't think you'd be this skinny!" She squeezes Junsu's butt, "Even your butt doesn't feel the same," She pouts deeper.
"Aish," Junsu's lips curve into a small smile, chuckling lightly. "I'll do butt exercises, will that make you happy?"
She shakes her head, "I miss my muscular Kim Junsu. I'd like him back please," Taeyeon nods softly.
"I'm sorry," Junsu kisses her again, a little longer this time. "He can't come back yet."
"Why?" Taeyeon wraps her arms around Junsu's waist, clasping her fingers together to keep in place.
"Just until promotions are over, baby," He whispers, "It's a new image I'm trying out," he smiles softly.
"I liked your old image," Taeyeon nods, "Your fans too."
"Yeah...but," Junsu sighs, "I worked really hard losing it, I just wanna stay this way a little longer, at least until soccer's over. It's really helped me on the field."
Taeyeon sighs, pursing her lips. "Oh...alright," She gives up. She didn't want to spend her time with him arguing anyway. "But promise me you won't get any skinner, okay?" Taeyeon steps on her tip toes and gives Junsu a kiss, "You have to be healthy at all times if you want to keep working."
"I know, I know," Junsu sighs softly, "You too."
"I'm trying," Taeyeon replies, wrinkling her nose, "I don't lose weight on purpose like somebody!"
Junsu raises an eyebrow, "I wouldn't talk like that to that somebody if he was thinking of going out for late night sushi."
Taeyeon gasps, "We are?" She lightens up again, smiling sweetly. "Aigooo~" she laughs, pressing her face against Junsu's warm chest and inhales his cologne. "Why didn't you tell me in the first place?" She pokes his side, smiling up at him.
"Well, you quickly started nagging at me," Junsu frowns a little, defending himself.
"Did not," Taeyeon retorts, "But if I did....you totally deserve it," She sighs, unwrapping her arms and locks an arm with him.
Junsu takes her bag from her opposite arm and slings it over his shoulder, while he puts the hand of the arm Taeyeon's holding inside his coat pocket. "Let's have a full-on fight when we're in bed, hmm?" He smiles, a little naughtily but Taeyeon doesn't notice because she's picturing yummy sushi in her head.
"Pervert," She elbows him.
"That's one thing that hasn't changed," Junsu grins playfully.
"Aiiiish!" She hits his upper arm, "You haven't even fed me yet! Feed me first!"
Junsu purses his lips from smiling any more, he takes his hand out of his pocket and shakes off Taeyeon's arm so he can put his arm around her shoulders, pulling her closer beside him. "Yes, ma'am!" He nods as they walk to his parked car.
"You're saying that now...but I know later you'd want to lay in bed with me," the corner of Junsu's lip curves up into a smirk.
"Tch," Taeyeon crosses her arms, "Who's talking, Death or Junsu?"
"Is this a new kink for you?" He grins.
