That is probably how I will describe what I felt after watching Privileged and Fringe. Privileged was so much fun! And amazingly entertaining too, I really liked it. Fringe, on the other hand, made me feel like I was watching a cross between the X-files and Alias. It's opening credits really made me feel that I was watching the X-files, LOL :)
Privileged.
It's light and bubbly, no heavy drama, no serious plots (so far), and its location makes me want to drop by a beach and wear a bikini!
The top three things that I enjoyed are:
1. the gay chef. he is really hilarious.
2. the neighbor, an eye candy!
3. rose and sage, i love them.
As for the heroine, although I know that her character and the whole TV show is based on a novel, I find her not really interesting. I think she blends so much into the story that she sometimes gets overpowered by rose and sage, and even her boss. I don't know, maybe she's just not such a sparkling jewel right now. And besides, its just the pilot episode, and i have yet to discover her depth in the next episodes to come.
Really a breather from all the action and conspiracies and mysteries in PB and Heroes, all the love/sex/hate/drama relationships in Grey's Anatomy, Gossip Girl and House. I miss watching shows that doesn't really require me to think, squirm, or get so angry. hehe :)
Fringe.
We have seen and watched Joshua Jackson grow up. From his glorious hockey days in mighty ducks to his teeny drama boy Pacey in Dawson's Creek, and now entering the adult action world in Fringe. And he's looking more and more like the next George Clooney by the minute.
I am so excited and way beyond amused with what September has brought me.
And I'm still waiting for Valentine and Dollhouse :)
