i haven't posted anything yet this October?
this only goes to show how fast time flies.. i was quite actively posting last month ah?
well, my October started with a promise i made to my Boss that i won't be late or absent from work. i've got a couple of 3-minute lates here and there (3-min lates are nullified), but i never became absent w/o official notice, so i guess i've been keeping the promise so far? /proud of myself
changing my sched from an 11-hour shift back to a 9-hour one really helped a lot: i feel like i have more energy to do stuff outside work, and my office-to-home travel time is so lovely, it's now at less than an hour instead of the almost 2 hours before. plus, i get to save some money b/c when i go home, the shopping malls aren't open yet hahaha
third week of october i attended my first ever team building w/ the company i'm with now, after more than a year of being there. as usual, there were the crazies, the videoke-addicts, and the tanggeros and tomadors. i realized that i have to be better at saying "no" when it comes to these things, b/c even though i haven't had a drop of alcohol for almost a year now, i was easily persuaded to accept the shots offered/given to me without much of a protest. i guess i chose to just endure it (and hope they won't remember i haven't had my turn) so i won't be branded as KJ or maarte. so there, alcohol in my system before going to work that same night (w/c turned out to be a good thing, b/c it might've helped my circulation, and even though i had the scariest period i've had in a long time, i thought i felt better afterwards)
also got together with j-friends (after some months of just meeting / talking via twitter/ FB) and challenged the Tokyo Bubble Tea Milk Tea Tower (of doom). i only stayed for 2 hours (T_T) but man, was it fun. also, now that i think about it, only annie996 was on a bit of fangirl mode (not surprisingly, since Arang & the Magistrate just finished, i think, and she can't get enough of Lee Jun Ki). lhukhe09, jennah_13, strawberriel, and i were talking about work (b/c Jenang just got hired, YAY!) and random stuff, and cathalina09 was just busy not eating her gulay and glomping us before i left. i missed vampyrrepthough, b/c i already left when she was on her way to Megamall.
the next day, i shipped my ass back to Megamall to meet with my Sitel BFF. we celebrated her being promoted to a QA at work. we planned on catching "Looper" but i didn't wanna rush through our meal to get to the movie house on time, so i just told her we'd watch a movie next time. we did a bit of window shopping, until i noticed that her sling bag was open. her cellphone got stolen and we didn't notice it. needless to say, it was a big downer, but we parted ways promising we'd meet up again soon after this.
October was also a time for me to enjoy my anime. i fancied watching the old version of Hunter x Hunter (b/c i never watched it completely before, when it was showing on GMA7) but i thought that i might as well just watch the 2011 version since the story's closer to the manga (just like what happened to Fullmetal Alchemist: i watched both versions, but i liked the 2nd one more). i got hooked, and two weeks after, i ran out of episodes to DL & watch (there were just 50 eps by then) so i started marking my calendar to look for the new episode every Sunday, lol. also, Killua (and his family) = amazing.
i also started watching Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun when i learned about it from lhukhe09's tweet. MAN, THE FEELS THAT THIS SHOW IS GIVING ME EVERY WEEK. ugh.
now here we are, 5 days 'til November and i guess this would be my first and last post for October 2012.
Popcorn ships out in a few days, i hope i get my copy fast this time. ^_^
