[When turning on the feed, Botan's poking a stick into and activating another trap. Just off to the side, there seems to be similarly triggered traps with other branches and things like rocks. With all of this, Botan's more thoughtful than anything.]

I'm wondering if the Animus put these in a way so certain people would be caught by them more than ( Read more... )

I'm certain if anyone could get that trick to work with a sliding door, it is the Animus.

Are you alright, Botan-san?

Did the feed even catch how it was up there?

[She's trying to wipe some off her face, and judging by the stretching tendrils between her hand and forehead, the stuff is sticky.]

I'm fine, though. As far as I can tell.

It seemed as if it was floating, though there must have been something holding it up...

[Eugh, that looks gross...]

There is that, at least.

Considering this is an event, there might not have...

[Sigh...]

I should be glad that I wasn't wearing my kimono. It'd be horrible if that was stained.

True enough.

Yes, there's a reason I don't tend to wear my uniform much around here...

Especially when it's a lot harder to clean them, compared to back home...

And much harder to find or make replacements when it gets damaged, instead of just being able to put in a request for a new one. Or buy a new one.

Or times when I need to look official-ish too...

I can't say my kimono helps for looking official, exactly...

[Nods]

I know exactly what you mean. Then sometimes when you do find something, it turns out to be damaged in some way already.

There are some benefits to having a uniform.

Even then... I can do some minor repairs myself, but sewing an entirely new garment? Unless it's a kimono or something similar I must confess myself at a loss.

I can't say I've learned how myself. Save for what you mentioned, sewing seems rather complicated.

Kimono are actually built on fairly simple principles: four strips of fabric, two for the body, two for the sleeves, straight seams, and so forth. I learned as a child.

These modern style dresses, with their curving seams and 'darts' and so forth I simply don't understand.
