[Mission 009] Video/Offline

[After having the courage to go out after Hiei's post, Botan's out to the same section of markers and tombstones. Though she's lingering along the way, coming across some other familiar ones. Even stopping at one with a death date from the 1980's, smiling a bit.]

Ah, I remember this one. My first assignment as a guide. Times were so much easier back then.

[Case in point she reaches a stone for someone named Yusuke Urameshi (multiple death dates, indeed), along with others; Youko Kurama, Shuichi Minamino, Hiei, Kazuma Kuwabara, Genkai. That one she slows down at, kneeling down to clean the grave and brush her fingers around the death date.]

I hope that time was for old age... Because if it turns out to be otherwise, I'll even disobey Enma and refuse to-

[What she'd refuse to do is cut off as she catches a marker much smaller than the others. Moving some of the weeds and tall grass, her own name and 199x is seen at the end of the death date. More confounded and curious than anything, she fixes herself to sit in front of the marker. Taking the PCD out for a snapshot of the marker, she sets it aside and continues pondering the purpose.]

Never really thought about it before. Generally, ferrygirls aren't physical so death is supposed to be the end of everything. No body; we just stop existing basically. So there wouldn't be a grave to be marked. Since-

[Botan stops, whipping around to look behind. Even more confused than before.]

Lord Koenma?

O-oh. I've been here too long.  Time to go, then.

[Getting up, oar manifesting in hand it looks like she's just about to do that. Until she drops back down, grasping at her stomach with a gasped yell. Bracing down against her side, Botan reaches for the PCD, clicking it off when dragging it towards her.]
