[Some may sense Botan before the video feed turns on. When it does, she looks... Dirty, a little ragged even, while going through the air. Something that has relief and a bit of rejuvenation on her expression, and even excited from what she's seen. In fact, those that look up might see her flying towards the festival.]

When did the festival show up ( Read more... )

Right now I have mostly warning talismans together. They alert the people inside when the perimeter is breached. Not that it means the thing crossing the perimeter is there for horrible reasons, but it works for a heads up. I'll have to work on more, but they're basically set against demons.

It is better to be safe than sorry, with how things can go. I've only tested it a couple of times, but it seems some of the more dangerous animals around can trigger the warnings too. Not sure if I should try to fix that, though...

[ooc: Since the filter's general, I figure it's okay for him to see (and subsequently threadjack) this, but if not, just lemme know and I'll delete!]

Rei would not be wrong should she decide they were unnecessary. However I doubt she would refuse the additional protection, provided there are no adverse interactions among types of warding used.

Usagi is the leader of your group, isn't she? Then it is what she wishes that ultimately matters.

However, Rei is the most knowledgeable in this particular area. Consulting with her isn't a poor idea. As I stated, over-protecting an area is of little use should wards interact adversely and cancel each other out.

I still fail to see what issue leadership plays in this, then.

Rei has, as far as I know, no issue with anything you are doing. However, I do, as acting impulsively is foolish. Do you know anything about warding or protective talismans?

[He may be a little annoyed, due to what sure seems to him like insults toward Rei.]

Multiple reasons. One is that the Temple is warded already; practically nothing dangerous can get into it. The other is that you are rushing into something without bothering to be certain it won't make things worse.

If you would like to make certain that the Temple, and therefore your Princess, is protected, then perhaps leaving it to those who know what they're doing would be wise. Rei happens to be one of those people.

[Two headstrong people bickering over something Rei feels is rather pointless just ends in a headache for everyone involved. She doesn't quite know how to mend the fence with Haruka just yet, seeing as their last conversation ended rather badly, but Castiel is pretty easy to calm down.]

-- I have to do a fire reading later. You should join me.

[A silent 'thank you' for defending her, even if Rei doesn't really think there was anything to defend.]

[He is so displeased right now, but at Rei's offer and her tone, he calms a bit. Finally he nods.]

If you would like.

I would, thank you.

[There's your thank you. Except not at all.]
