[When the PCD clicks on, there's an upward angle on a teenaged girl, about 14 or 15, with blue hair up in a ponytail and pink eyes. She doesn't seem to notice this, or anything at all at the moment. For a few moments she's standing there and staring off to the distance with apprehension and worry. When the change in scenery starts to sink in, ( Read more... )

Ah, wait! Are you alright?

Is that an...oar? [Is she...flying? Maybe with an aircraft? No, it couldn't be...]

[Well, at least now she's not as surprised by other people responding who aren't Kurama. She nods a bit before saying anything- and watches out for one of the branches.]

I'm fine, thank you. It's my friend though, he was- very hurt before I showed up here, and I sense him here.

Your friend Kurama? [He hasn't met a Kurama yet, unfortunately. He's still too recently arrived.] If he is here and has arrived before you, then his injury has probably been taken of already, probably at the clinic.

Yes- Tall, red hair?

[Part of her attention is still towards looking around.]

I'm not sure when he showed up here, but he definitely is.

I'm not sure, but one of the others may know more specifically.

[That last part catches his attention.]

You mentioned earlier that you can "sense" him.

Well, it isn't unusual to recognize a friend's energy.

[It's TOTALLY normal.]

[You're in luck, Botan. Actually, in his world too, it's normal...ish. At least with Nen-users.]

Tell me, do you use Nen?

Nen? I'm not familiar with that term... Is it another word for spirit energy?

I've never heard of the term "spirit energy", but perhaps they are similar. What is spirit energy like?

It's an kind of energy in all beings that, when strong enough, can be used for many different things. Some with low spiritual energy, but high enough to utilize, can sense things like ghosts, or have an extra awareness around them. Others are able to harness the energy into a physical manifestation. It's also known as chi in some practices.

...They sound extremely alike, though Nen is not as attuned with the spirit and the life force of everything around us. But those who have learned Nen, like myself, can sense the Nen surrounding living things, including the unique auras around individuals. If you use En, you can extend that sensory radius up to fifty meters. [/walking encyclopedia]

They really do sound quite similar...

Your friend Kurama can use spiritual energy as well?

Well yes, you could say that...

[It's complicated, and she's not sure she should go into detail about it. :x ]

[He can tell she's holding back; most of the people he's encountered in Adstringendum are distrustful, understandably.]

I'll ask him about it later.

[Nods]

It wouldn't be right if I told you about it, instead.

[It's different from constantly blowing his cover, obviously.]
