Last night at Ventura something incredibly odd occurred. I did my usual thing. I remained rather quiet and kept to myself a great deal of the time. I have become a bit more sociable, but only with people I'm already comfortable with. Back to what happened. We were at Ultrazone and I had played a game of DDR. I felt a little warm and decided to take a break outside. I do that quite frequently, wandering off by myself and sitting in contemplation. I was thinking about a certain someone and feeling a just a tad depressed, not an uncommon occurrence. Then this girl that I had never seen before came out of the back door. She approached me and asked if I was alright. I quickly told her that I was fine and she asked again. It went back and forth like that for a while until she finally gave up and tells me that she'd be inside if I want to talk. I sat there flabbergasted by what had just taken place. Nobody ever does that, nobody that I don't know well at least. She seemed genuinely concerned too. Fuzzy came by shortly after and we had a pep talk of sorts. After he left I built up te courage and decided to at least give her my contact info before she left. When I saw her again as she was leaving I apologized for having brushed her off and told her that I'd like to talk some time. I gave her one of the contact cards that I had made up for AX and she offered her number. I plan on calling her soon, and hopefully foster a new friendship. Even if nothing comes of it, this whole experience has been a nice confidence booster.
