Summary: What would you do if you know you’ve been caught and there’s no way to escape?
Author’s notes: This is so short and it sucked too… I’m sorry… ;___;
Their eyes met in a crowded room.
Kaoru could only smile in victory when he saw Toshiya looking as if he has just been caught stealing cookies from the cookie jar.
Toshiya quickly hid his face behind his hands, hoping that the other hadn’t really seen him. He took a peek through the gaps in between his fingers and jumped a little when he saw Kaoru making his way through the crowd.
“Oh shit…”
The bassist didn’t bother waiting for Kaoru to approach him and turned around, making his way through the sea of people as well.
“Oh no you don’t.”
Kaoru started to push people forcibly out of his way when he saw Toshiya trying to escape. He would have none of that.
Faster and faster Toshiya went and before long, he finally reached the bar’s fire exit and went out from there. He ended up in some blind alley and he let himself lean back on the door before sliding down to the ground.
So loud was the pounding of his heart against his chest he feared that Kaoru might hear it and find out his hiding place.
How did the pink-haired man find him that fast? Why did he have to underestimated his leader’s abilities and let his guard down?
It was too late now. Kaoru had seen him and it was only a matter of seconds before he will come out of the same door Toshiya used.
He was thinking of running away again but instead, changed his mind. It was about time he faced his fears and accepted defeat. That was how a real man should act anyway.
True enough, at exactly fifty seconds later, the door to the fire exit started to push forward. The only thing preventing the door from being opened was Toshiya’s body blocking the door’s path.
“Toshiya… damn it. I know you’re there! Let me out.”
“All right, all right… there’s no need to rush me. You already found me anyway…”
The bassist got up from the ground and Kaoru was finally able to join him outside.
Then there was silence. Toshiya and Kaoru just stared at each other in silence for some time before Kaoru broke the ice.
“Well?”
“Well what?”
“Aren’t you going to admit it?”
“Admit what?”
“Don’t play dumb Toshiya.”
“Well, I won’t admit it.”
“Toshiya…”
“Fine, so you’re better than me at hide and seek. It’s not like it’s a real talent or anything…”
“But that’s still another thing I’m better at compared to you. So that means… I now have twenty-two points while you’re still stuck with thirteen points.”
“Oh yeah?”
“Uh-huh.”
“I’ll prove it to you then! I am better than you Kaoru! Just you wait until we get to bed!”
