Boring day. Didn't go anywhere or see anything new.
I did get to talk to some guests. The elderly Japanese couples and young families we've been getting lately actually know how to speak English. I wasn't really surprised when it came of the younger Japanese but it really was a surprise when I got to talk to a Japanese grandpa (who dives!) in English. Fractured English yes, but English nonetheless.
We also got to send off some of our long-staying guests. The French family that's been here since I started working finally went home today. Now there's only the Russian guy. We also got to send off a gay couple (a Pinoy and an American). The American loved his stay so much that he actually hugged the (female) manager while waiting for the speedboat. He says he's going to show off his tan and the pictures to all his friends who are currently cold and miserable in New York. Incidentally, this dude invited one of the guides into his room because he still wanted to "talk" to him :p Bwahaha.
Oh, and I got my nameplate today. Now I really feel like a resort employee.
Will have to wake up early tomorrow because I'm going on the dry run of the Irrawaddy dolphin watching tour in Malampaya Sound. Whee. Except for the waking up at the ungodly hour of 4:45am part.
