when there's a will, there's a way

MSI lost power twice today - 9am-12nn then 2:30-5pm. Good thing our class only has 9 students so we were able to have it in Dr. Yap's office, which was brightly lit because of the huge windows. Cool. Dr. David held her MS 102 class (lots of students because it's an undergrad course) in the lobby. Haha. Dr. Yniguez requested that 3 emergency lamps be brought into her classroom because she had to give an exam.

The afternoon was more fun because we were due to give oral reports. Apparently, MSI does have a genset but it's only enough to supply the genetics lab. LOL. So I guess it's only the genetics lab that has equipment that can't be turned off ever - the freezers, etc. So anyway, we borrowed Fleur's huge-ass laptop (15 inch screen!) and another monitor from the COMECO lab and ran an extension cord from the genetics lab (located in the basement) up to Dr. Yap's room. Then we gave our reports in almost total darkness. Wahaha. That was fun.

As all this was happening, AS still had power. Oh well.
