Maybe?] I don't think people know why we're brought here but there's a possibility that it has to do with running a clock underneath the City using misery. I mean, apparently, I don't really know. I think that's probably just something somebody thought of.

It does sound that way. A clock that uses misery to run doesn't make very much sense at all.

Perhaps you still exist due to us being trapped in this nexus? I suppose it would make sense that some types of anomaly could support abnormal life forms.
