For the first time in Henry's life, he had pets. A
cat that seemed to know how important it was to keep both children and puppies safe (children that were working on crawling and discovering now), while the
puppies seemed to be almost on the same level of the girls, frequently forgetting how their limbs seemed to work.
It was mayhem, chaos, and Henry didn't like it, but it was best to rely on his instincts to not step on any hand or paw all the time. The cat (for some reason he called him Tibberton in his head, even though it had only been one day and they had decided on giving them some time to find fitting names) tried, but couldn't be everywhere all the time, his meows sometimes sounding almost frustrated.
"That's the life of a parent, Tibberton. You never have enough hands and enough eyes." He helped Eve sit up again before she could cry out in frustration, and steered a puppy in another direction. He had had plans to work in the lab on his day off. Now he was trying to make sure the living room and everyone in it would stay in one piece.
