So, the run of Isn't It Romantic (the play I was Stage Manager for) is over.
I learned a LOT about stage managing, and am happy to say, that I will be continuing in it. We start work next week on the next play, Sophocles's Ajax. It's going to be interesting doing a play that's so much more open to interpretation and creative molding. Should be fun.
Key thing I learned: DTA. Don't Trust Anybody. If someone says they're going to have something done, stay on them and make sure that they are getting it done, don't wait for them to come back to you with it done, because they won't make the deadline if you do. Grrr....
But anyway, the run went pretty smoothly, I just have to make the DVD of it now, and then I'll be completed all my work on this play and ready to start on the next one...
And then there's the other part of it...I got a really good idea for a play, and have started writing it. One scene down already...
Yay!
