I admit that I am more of a opening of the season sort of girl rather than a play offs sort of girl, but I get what you're saying! :)

For me, the best thing about the season opening is that everyone has a chance, but it's definitely fun to believe that your team has a chance, however unlikely it may be.

Around here, there's still usually snow on the ground by the time baseball season starts.

I watched a Cubs-Reds season opener in the snow a few seasons ago. Here, not so much an issue.

Do you remember where the game was? I can't imagine there would be snow in Cincinnati in April.

It was in Cinci. It was flurries, really, not an all out SNOW, but still - ridiculous! It was either the first or second season that the new ballpark there was in use.
